PURPOSE

GETFILETYPE get file type

SYNOPSIS

function [HDR] = getfiletype(arg1)

DESCRIPTION

 GETFILETYPE get file type 

 HDR = getfiletype(Filename);
 HDR = getfiletype(HDR.FileName);

 HDR is the Header struct and contains stuff used by SOPEN. 
 HDR.TYPE identifies the type of the file [1,2].
